From a design standpoint, why choose concrete countertops?
Concrete countertops are custom poured for every job, which opens up a world of possibilities.  From intricate edge details to features like integrated towel bars or trivets, concrete countertops are made to fit your lifestyle.  For those looking to make a statement, we can pour fiber-optic lights, glow in the dark aggregates, or even personal items right into the concrete.  Concrete countertops take customization to the next level.

Do you pour the countertops in place?
No, we pour the countertops in our shop.  Once complete, they are installed like granite.

How does the cost of a concrete countertop compare to other solid surface materials?
Our concrete countertops start at $40 per square foot and on average cost between $40 and $80 depending on the options chosen.  Color options, imbedded objects, and job complexity are just some of the factors considered to determine pricing.  We price out jobs on an individual basis.

How do concrete countertops perform in comparison to other solid surfaces options?
Concrete countertops will perform much like granite over time.  While bare concrete is very porous, our countertops are protected with a high-grade sealer for superior stain resistance.  Concrete countertops may develop some hairline cracks over time, but these are typically unseen by the naked eye.

Can concrete countertops be used with various sink types?
Yes, concrete countertops can be used with all types of sinks, including drop-in, undermount, apron front, and vessel.  We can also pour integral concrete sinks.

What kind of maintenance do concrete countertops require?
Concrete countertops should be cleaned with mild soap and water.  Abrasive or harsh cleaners may harm the surface of the countertop.  To prevent staining, acidic liquids (wine, vinegar, citrus juices) should be wiped up immediately.  For ultimate protection, owners should wax their countertops on a monthly basis.   Some owners may choose to do this less frequently or not at all.  This will leave concrete more susceptible to staining and will allow the concrete to take on a patina, but will not affect the durability of the concrete countertop.
